| Maristela Tayoko da Silva Lenior was born in 1967 in Juquiá - São Paulo, Brazil. Presently she lives in Amsterdam, Netherlands. At the age of 7 she started painting and a couple of years later she was already teaching other children to paint too. Her talent was noticed by the locals. Growing up still, painting she decided to study Architecture at the disputed USP - University of São Paulo where she graduated in 1992. Her college teacher had said to her that painters are always poor in Brazil, so that it might be better to get a degree in architecture. She accepted the advice. After some successful years working as an architect she knew that in her blood she would always be an artist and took the decision to work as a professional artist. Now she can look back on many very successful years and obviously the Internet and modern transport have benefitted her career as a full time artist. She counts with paintings sold all over the world but mostly the USA, Brazil, Spain and The Netherlands, the small european country with the famous artists history as Rembrandt van Rein and Vincent van Gogh, Karel Appel. Com 7 anos de idade ela fez suas primeiras pinturas, e alguns anos depois já estava ensinando outras crianças. O talento foi percebido por todos na pequena cidade. Como adolescente ela decidiu estudar arquitetura na USP - Universidade de São Paulo e se formou em 1992. Após a formatura ela trabalhou alguns anos como arquiteta e obteve muito sucesso como tal. Uma professora de colégio havia desencorajado a Maristela a fazer o curso de Artes Plásticas afirmando que ela teria dificuldades p/ trabalhar na área . Mas, o sangue de artista ficou correndo pelas veias e a Maristela voltou a ser artista full time e isso com muito sucesso! Os quadros dela são vendidos no mundo inteiro, prinicipalmente nos Estados Unidos, Brazil e Holanda, o pequeno paÃs com uma tradição tão forte de famosos pintores como Rembrandt van Rein, Vincent van Gogh e Karel Appel.
