I was seven years old when I first saw my 17 year older sister's boy friend's models. Beautiful tiny airplanes, tanks and cars. I had never seen something like that before. My toys were just toys, not to compare with these real looking miniatures. When my sister told me that he had made them I was astonished.
Some months after that I got my first model as a birthday present, that I painted and glued together following my own taste and skills of a seven years old...
Now some 36 year later I am still doing that! ;*)
Although there is a lot of "we build..." and "we do..." on this web site, I am one person and the only "employee" of The Warbird Factory.
My purpose is just to get the expenses of my hobby paid and always to improve my skills. I study a lot real aircraft and I am always researching new materials and tools. I think that I will be modeling until my eighties... if God allows me... Feel free to give your comments and refer to the map and Google Earth place mark to see where The Warbird Factory is located. Cheers BoB alias TomTheTomcat and ToM. Btw Tom is my cat!

On the map left you see the West region of Amsterdam where The Warbird Factory is situated (Esmoreitstraat) on the fourth floor (attic) of our appartment.. I was born some more to the west in the Justus van Maurikstraat. My family from my father's side comes from Amsterdam West. My mother was a country girl from the North of The Netherlands. She was born in a small village called: Kloosterburen.
